Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Santa were a woman? Put a twist in
the holidays by discovering Sister Santa. The Aquinas College Jane Hibbard Idema Women's
Studies Center would like to invite you to their annual holiday celebration, "What
if Santa Were a Woman?" Each year the Center hosts this unique and fun event to encourage
members of the Aquinas community to think about how things might be different if jolly
old St. Nick was a woman. The event is on Friday, December 3 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
in Aquinas Wege Student Center, Lower Level Lobby.
Ms. Santa Claus will listen to holiday wishes of Aquinas faculty, staff and students,
pass out special gifts from her sack and lead participants in the singing of traditional
Christmas carols (which have been slightly altered to fit the gender of this special
Claus). Come visit with Ms. Santa, and her reindeer-poodle, Elfie, sit on her lap
and get your picture taken with her while you whisper to her all of your secret holiday
wishes. There will also be karaoke and a piñata to add to the festive atmosphere.
