Motivating Involvement Now) Club is hosting its 11th annual Fashion and Talent Show, "One Nation Under Groove" on November 17 in the Kretschmer Recital Hall, Aquinas College Art and Music Center at 8 p.m. Admission is $3 ($2 with a canned good) and $2 for Aquinas students. The proceeds will be divided between CASA Hogars orphanage in Peru and food baskets for needy families in Grand Rapids during this Thanksgiving season.
The Fashion and Talent Show will showcase students modeling popular clothing from Eddie Bauer, Aeropostale, The Buckle, Desmond's Formal Wear, Elizabeth by Liz Claiborne, and Casual Corner. Some faculty and staff members will be participating in the AQ scene of the Fashion Show.
The talent portion of the show will include Monroe Smith, poet and Matt Veneklase, guitarist performing an original work called "War's Quiet Breath", Kasey Ackerman singing "Breath of Heaven" by Amy Grant, and Scott Markwart playing the Steel Pan.
