Sr. Marlene Halpin, O.P., Thomistic scholar, prolific national speaker and author, will deliver the 15th Annual St. Thomas Aquinas Week Lecture at Aquinas College. Sister Halpin's talk, St. Thomas Aquinas: How did a University Professor Ever Become a Saint?, is on Thursday, January 26 at 12:30 p.m. in the Wege Student Center Ballroom. From 11:45 a.m. to 12:25 p.m., a lunch will be served. Lunch reservations must be made by calling (616) 632-2171 no later than January 24. The light lunch and lecture are free and the public is welcome.

Halpin is the author of several books on prayer including "Leading Prayer: Plain and Simple," "189 Ways to Contact God: Find the Prayer Starters That Work for You!," "Ball of Red String: A Guided Meditation for Children?," "At Home with God: A Book of Prayer for Young People," and "Child's Book of Prayer" to name a few. Halpin is currently employed at Loyola Press to teach prayer formation programs.
