Aquinas College students will be participating in "Into the Streets" from Monday,
October 7 through Saturday, October 12. "Into the Streets" is a week of service learning
projects giving Aquinas students the opportunity to volunteer in and learn about various
community organizations in the Grand Rapids area.
The week's schedule of volunteer activities is as follows:
Monday
Painting at Heartside Ministry from 1-4 p.m.
54 South Division
Playing Bingo at Degage Ministries from 7-9 p.m.
144 South Division
Tuesday
Passing out hot dogs to the homeless at Veteran's Park from 12-1 p.m.
Fulton Street
Wednesday
Going on an Urban Sprawl BUUS (Better Understanding Urban Sprawl) Tour
Tours are scheduled at 12:30 p.m. or at 3:00 p.m.
Playing Bingo at Degag Ministries from 7-9 p.m.

Thursday
Painting playground equipment with students at Sigsbee Elementary from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Friday
Sorting clothing and doing yard work at Homeless Youth Services. Students will be on location from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saturday
Painting playground equipment and doing yard-work at Sigsbee Elementary School. Students will be at the School from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or from 12 p.m.-4 p.m.

Boxing and sorting canned goods at the Citywide Food Drive from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
