Welcome back to campus!
I hope you had a peaceful and joyous break, filled with family, friends, and much-needed rest.
We are now halfway through the academic year. We accomplished so much last semester in the classroom, on the athletic fields, and in our community. The spring semester will bring many more opportunities for growth and fellowship throughout campus. Take advantage of everything Aquinas has to offer you before the year’s end. Time flies!
Yesterday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Although events had to be canceled due to inclement weather, there are still opportunities for you to engage with and reflect on Dr. King’s legacy on campus this week.
- Listen to poems selected and read by the Aquinas Writer's Guild.
- Visit the Kretschmer Lobby to see an exhibit of work by local artists and memorabilia loaned to us by the Grand Rapids African American Museum and Archives.
- Support Campus Ministry and the Center for Diversity, Inclusion & Equity who are hosting a book drive for inmates in the Kent County Correctional Facility. Bring book donations to one of four drop-off locations on campus.
I wish you a most successful start to the new year and spring 2024 semester. Stay warm and safe during these winter months. It will be spring before you know it.
May God be with you always,
Alicia Córdoba, DMA
President, Aquinas College
