Niki is an active percussion educator and performer from Wixom, MI. Niki has received
a bachelors of science degree in psychology/criminal justice from Grand Valley State
University. Over the years as a performer, she has gained experience drumming on bass
drum, quads, and drum set from groups such as Walled Lake Western high school, Walled
Lake Percussion, Grand Valley State University, Ascension Percussion, Motor City Percussion,
Cap City 2 Percussion, Redline Percussion, River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps,
and Music City Drum and Bugle Corps. She has also participated in entertainment ensembles
such as the Grand Rapids Gold Drumline, the GVSU soccer drumline, the GVSU basketball
pep band, and the Aquinas College athletics band. Alongside performing, she also has
taught at many groups such as Walled Lake Western High School, Sarah Banks Middle
School, Reeths-Puffer High School, and Northern Lights Drum and Bugle Corps, as well
as groups she currently teaches at like Rockford High School, Grandville High School,
Aquinas College, Grandville Independent Percussion, and Motor City Percussion. She
also offers private lessons on snare drum, quads, bass drum, and drum set set to any
students looking to learn a new instrument or improve on their instrument.
Outside of drumming, Niki can be in the gym, exercising outside, playing video games
with friends, traveling, going to live concerts, writing music, and watching sunsets
along Lake Michigan.
