A violinist for the Grand Rapids Symphony for over twenty years, Caroline Freihofer
has performed twice at Carnegie Hall and on the Grammy-nominated CD with the orchestra.
She has also been a member of the Naples, FL, Philharmonic and as the Associate Concertmaster
of the Minnesota Opera Orchestra.
As a member of the GRS Artist-In-Residence Program, Caroline performs regularly in
area schools with the String Discovery Quartet. Additionally, she performed with The Who at Van Andel Arena, as well as with Sarah McLachlan at Frederik Meijer Gardens.
She is a violin instructor for the Mosaic Scholars Program of the GRS and maintains
a private violin studio from her home. Ms. Freihofer received her B.M. and M.M. in
Violin Performance from the University of Michigan as both a scholarship and fellowship
recipient.
