Alex Clay

Alex Clay, Work Study

Alex Clay is a senior at Aquinas pursuing a major in Sustainable Business and a minor in Communications. She grew up in Sparta, MI and attended Sparta High school. Sustainability has become a lifestyle for Alex over the years, and she is especially passionate about issues related to public health, and awareness about toxicity of everyday household and personal care products. As the climate and metrics intern, Alex is responsible for preparing tasks related to the American College and University Presidents' Climate Commitment. These tasks include but are not limited to: the college’s progress report, refining several data tracking systems, and assisting in collecting information for AASHE STARS. Outside of the Center, Alex enjoys yoga, traveling, and anything outdoors. She loves kayaking, hunting, hiking, and spending time with her cat Chester.

David Paquet

David Paquet, Work Study

David Paquet is a junior at Aquinas College and is a student worker at the Center for Sustainability. Before he attended Aquinas, he grew up in Cadillac, Michigan and graduated from Cadillac High. Currently, David is pursuing a major in Sustainable Business and has a passion for water issues and sustainable energy sources. When he is not studying, or working at the Center for Sustainability, David enjoys a variety of activities such as hunting, biking, and watching college sports and the Detroit Tigers. At the Center for Sustainability, David is responsible for the maintenance of websites, education on the Zero-Waste initiative, and the day-to-day tasks at the Center.

Elizabeth Sensing

Elizabeth Sensing, Work-Study Student

The Work-Study student is involved in the daily tasks of the Center for Sustainability, including maintenance of several websites. Additional duties include correspondence for the Center for Sustainability, S3 Club planning assistance, conference/event planning, and special projects. Elizabeth is a sophomore at AQ studying sustainable business as sustainability matches her passion for a clean and healthy environment and social good. She loves to travel and serve, and has found AQ’s Service-Learning trips to be a wonderful avenue for exploring those interests and advancing her interests in sustainability.
