The Saints' Squad: Are you in or are you in?

Saints' Squad To say that the Aquinas College "Saints' Squad" is just another  "student spirit group" may be an understatement. The group is considered the College's symbolic super fan that creates an exciting environment for all of our Saints Athletics.  Sponsored by the Spirit Committee,  the Saints' Squad are a sea of white shirts that signify their allegiance to their school, their team and to the spirit of college athletics.

Nelson
While the phrase, "putting on the dog" refers to people who try to appear more important than they are, we at AQ honor student leaders who are interested in making our campus events better by donning the Nelson, Saint Bernard costume!
>Request Nelson to be at your event
In order to be qualified to serve as Nelson, a student must:
  • be an enrolled student at Aquinas College in good standing
  • be energetic, full of AQ spirit and have a sense for interacting with a diverse group of people (especially kids!)
  • understand that children and some faculty/staff/administration have a need to hug you at random times and events. (Oh, that is in your Nelson costume).
  • be able to provide transportation to local schools in the event you presence is requested at "away" activities
  • recognize while all are welcome to try out, there are specific height and weight requirements for the costume.
  • realize that activities could include athletic events as well as campus events or local college fair appearances.
  • recognize that requests may arrive that are at random times of the day
  • not skip any academic responsibilities when the schedule comes out. Classes are first for this dog!
