Business and Accounting League

Founded in 2000, the Business and Accounting League (BAL) student organization seeks to build a bridge between the academic and career worlds. League officers plan, market, and produce events that help participants understand what they need to successfully launch their careers.

Past programs have included guest speakers and panel discussions on topics that range from landing internships and navigating office politics to building career wardrobes on a limited budget and making wise investment decisions. The BAL sponsors Aquinas’s annual Debits vs. Credits competition, a fast-paced, high-tech game that tests students’ accounting knowledge. Other programs include dining and golf etiquette events and road trips to local employers such as Steelcase and Amway Grand Plaza.
